Date Night Outfit
Tuesday, 29 March 2016
My partner and me haven't been on a date night in a very long time. Juggling work life and parenting is a tricky one when your trying to make time for each other. So I wanted to really dress up! Show him what he's been missing so to speak haha! I dared for the first time to go braless and it wasn't too bad, but I don't think I would ever do it on a night out.. Anyway, hope you like this outfit! :)

Bralet, Choker & Culottes - Topshop Sale
Shoes Kimono - Primark
This outfit is certainly showing off the grunge side of me. I don't know what I am if i'm honest with you, I dress however I feel like... I could be grungy, chavy, girly, a clean cut tom boy... whatever!
I am slowly growing my culottes collection, from cream to black and now burgundy :D this sweetheart I scored for £10! :O Couldn't believe it! the bralet was £12 and the choker was £8.50 (yet another to my collection). Yes this outfit is not for the current weather however, at Topman Derby their air-con has been broken for 7 months and wearing any form of knit wear is asking for a death wish!
I do feel rather nakey in this outfit because of the bralet being so skimpy but I know thats because my mind is in winter mode not summer, so it kind of feel unacceptable to wear such a thing but I am convincing myself the kimono goes it some justice!
This cute kimono is from Primark, I think for £9. I wasn't going to get it for the fact that its winter! What are you doing Primark? But I knew when summer came around I would be gutted for not buying it, so I was sold! I will probably bring some cream into this outfit when summer hits, most likely replacing the bralet and shoes and who knows maybe my hat collection will grow then too :D

Dress - Topshop
Choker - Topshop
Shoes - Newlook w/ black frilly socks :)
Hello all. Its my Graduation week! Despite that my fellow students and I finished in June, The University Of Derby inset on having it in January every year, lord knows why... but it will be nice to see everyone. The day after Graduation is the Graduation Ball!!! Which is why I purchased this amazing sparkly dress! I love it so much!!! Its very modest, elegant and darn right gorgeous. Pricing at £85 I think is quite reasonable for a body on full of sequins and little gems. There is a two piece avail be in this also which I wanted but they were out of stock in my sizes and I'm afraid this is too! I watch this dress online until it came in, hurray!
**TIP: Keep the page of the item you want up on your phone and check it every morning and afternoon because what you need to remember is that people return items and they go back online if they are returned to the warehouse.... Honestly this trick has worked wonders for me several times!
Unfortunately, to put the cons in place for this dress... I ordered a size 10 but it was too big as it was gathering at the side, however I know a size 8 wouldn't have been comfortable as I felt the neck line constantly ride up and put pressure on my neck which I didn't like. At £85 the dress would have to be perfect for me to convince myself on keeping it. Bye Bye beautiful dress :'(
I also tried on the dress back to front in the images below as it has a slight open back, providing a different fit...
The dress fit comfortably this way for me but I felt that you could tell it wasn't on the right way as the fit around the chest was not structured as I find others dresses.. Again the sides piled up me so it still had to be a no, but its so beeeeeeaaauutiiiffffffuuuulllll!!! *le cry*
Eh, moving on to the choker.. I love this choker so much! its rather to the point of not being able to describe the love! I have wanted one like this since I was little and a pearl one too! Its in the sale at £11.25 so I grabbed it straight away! So pleased with it! It makes any outfit look elegant.
In regards to the shoes, I would naturally go with sparkly heel but due to having flat feet and certainly not being able to walk in heels I went with my comfy black ones and maybe I could get away with having a sparkly black clutch or bag to match it up a little
Can't wait to graduate! And I have ordered another dress, still waiting... but hopefully I will get chance to show you guys!
Let me know what you think!?

Well, I did say my 'ways to wear video' was going to be up YESTERDAY but my god there is so much editing and pieces to put together! Around 8-10 looks in all :O I certainly won't be posting 8-10 looks on this blog however, as, well, I am sure you will all be sick of seeing check haha.
Todays look is all about using your shirt as a waist accessory. You could even wear it as a skirt but I completely forgot about that kind of styling for a shirt. I really love how the shirt has spiced my black and navy outfit up and the necklaces reflect from the white on the shirt, slightly balancing the black and white, so that the black isn't so heavy. Topping the outfit off with some monochrome croc slip ons for the complete causal vibes. I am really digging this simplistic look and I'm sure as I know try and grow my shirts collection (currently at 1 haha) I will have loads more fun with them.
P.s. ALWAYS BUY SHIRT IN TALL. Covers your bum :) hehe

Choker - Asos
J'Adore this outfit!!! As soon as I saw Missguided A/W collection I fell in love with this skirt! I just think its going to work so well with my already existing A/W wardrobe, especially those fluffy topshop crops I think I mention a lot haha. The skirt goes really nicely with this pink ribbed crop too. A little Clueless vibe as they say.
I am a little confused with the skirt, either it grew in my wardrobe or I lost even more weight... I always buy two sizes when it comes to bottoms. I got a 10 and a 12 and the 10 was a perfect fit but when I put it back on for this blog it looked twice the size! Like I had gone down to a 6! Very confused there! I'm going to blame it logically on my diet (not the skirt) and try to make sure I don't loose anymore weight! I am already a thin lass and I like being a 10-12.
This is definitely going to be a cosy outfit for when the weather actually decides to cool down. I am ready for the cold already!! No more heat, I want my fluffy knits! How about you guys?
You can also find this skirt at Misspap who also have the matching blazer! So cool!

Skirt - Topshop (AW13 - check ebay)
Choker - DEPOP - Ruth Brankin
I am beyond desperate for clothes its getting out of hand haha. I have literally had to beg my partner for some new shoes, for guess what! my new job!!! So excited about it! Will let you guys know on Instagram what it is soon enough :)
Anyway, putting together this little number is all well and cosy! Why can't this heat go away? I am ready for the cold! the cosy knits and skirt knits are incredible! I bought this one last year, its so perfect for my taste, I mean, pastel tartan (and not the tacky kind) what more can you want! I took a 3hour trip to get this skirt as it had sold out in every store nearby. Commitment or what!
I would usually wear the skirt with my lilac topshop crop fluffy knit but the heat was too much for that. So I teamed it with this spaghetti strap top to keep myself cool & this cream boyfriend cardigan which is fabulous! to help keep me more as the day fluctuates between temperature.

Top - Daisy Street
Jeans - Topshop Joni
Choker - Zoe Danielle Jewellery
Shoes - Primark
Hat - Topshop
I have been searching for the right/perfect striped top for a while now. I have been seeing them everywhere (bloggerwise) but everything that was posted was long out of stock :( Finally I found this navy striped top from Daisy street for only £12! My first mission was for a crop short sleeve but as winter is approaching I thought this was better fitting to the temperature, although i may en dup cutting it into a crop :) The material is very soft/silk-like and is a comfy fit.
The trousers WERE black but something must have happened in the washing machine as they turned navy! It was literally there first wash too :/ disappointed Topshop but its more then likely my fault. I usually do a 30min wash on now, dark, clothes so that the colour doesn't transfer but I completely forgot. Now its navy its very suiting for this nautical get up.
The shoes, my god the shoes!!!! I am in love with these brogues, not only are they chunky sole but they are patent too! Im just overly pleased and for £15 I don't see how you can't be happy.
The choker is something I put together from Zoe Danielle's nautical double up, taking the chain from the wheel and put the anchor on it instead. Im so impressed by the many things I can hang off this choker chain haha. I have been hanging my rose quarts from regal rose on it recently and its gorgeous!
