Denim Dungarees

Dungarees - Topshop Sale
Ribbed Roll Neck - Primark
Converse Dupes - Primark

When you've only got £50 for clothes, hair and beauty every month you start to get down and dirty with research on things you want in regards to pricing. Two staple pieces for my wardrobe are a pair of denim dungarees and black dungarees. I have been researching for months for some nice dungarees no more then £15. Very tricky to find I tell you that. At first I didn't want to get anything baggy but that opinion was swayed with these dungarees. After doing Topshop stock take I scanned through these, had a check on the price, £25 in sale and found out shortly after work that there was an additional 20% off sale so of course I jumped at the chance!! I wasn't sure at first, I thought I would most likely to return them but after doing this blog shoot I love them! I think what has swayed me is that there not plain, there acid wash and they are slightly high waisted! Thats the issues I find with dungarees, they emphasise the biggest part of me, my hips and its not flattering.

Paired the dungarees with a another wardrobe staple for AW, this primark ribbed roll neck. Is super soft and not see through, well I don't see anything but the image above seems too? I dunno. Its was only £5 and I think its great!

The converse dupes were a steal! £6 but they come up really short as if someone has cut a small part of the toe cap off. I bought a size 5 and I know a size 6 would just slip off. At the time I wasn't bothered but then I found out NEWLOOK do the same dupes for £12 and I bet they would be comfy! So now I'm gutted but never mind, £6 not a loss.

Thanks for reading :)

Khaki and Faux Fur

Turtle neck - Missguided
Khaki trousers - Missguided
Faux fur scarf - Bank Fashion
Fedora - Primark

This turtle neck is the best pale pink/pastel colour and its ribbed too! But its heartbreaking to know its rather see through and its very short of a crop! Sorry its quite pale here, its certainly not so light, that is just my lighting fading it out. I think these shots were taken around 4pm, after my school pick up, so it was getting dark and overexposure was needed!

Love the khaki tailored trousers. They are pleated at the top and wrap over your lady bits like a skirt does haha. These trousers are really comfy as well. I bought a size 10 (usually I'm a 10-12) but I had to send them back and I'm awaiting the size 12. They were just that little bit too tight around the waist and garden.

I threw in some essential faux fur from bank fashion just to add a bold kind of texture in comparison to the ribbing on the top. I'm not so sure on the mix of colours though? What do you think? I think its a fairly subtle clash, just need some confidence or ignorance hehe

Ribbed and Quilted

Thursday, 20 November 2014

Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Hat - Primark
Faux fur scarf - Bank Fashion

I never in a million years would have thought I would start craving khaki and burgundy colours, autumnal colours basically. I have always craved pastels but had trouble getting my hands on them and I think due to the recent pastel trends hitting the high street store and my shopping cravings towards them, I have finally got pastels out of my system or at least satisfied the craving enough to let other colours into my tastes.

As you may know, or not, I started a job at Topman and it is required of me to wear Topshop clothing to represent the brand and so on. So on payday I went hunting in store, spent 3 hours!!! in there also chasing after my son who is a menace when it comes to clothes shopping as he just loves to wind me up. Any-who! In the end I picked out this number! absolutely adore ribbed textures as you may know by my previous blogs! and at only £10 for a Topshop basic its fabulous. I tried the Missguided turtle neck version of this but it was too short of a crop and was fairly see through. This on the other han is the perfect crop length and is not see through!

The skirt is so nice! not like the tacking quilted skirts you may see. However I feel sizing is odd... I tired the 10, perfect for my butt but my hips were letting the skirt ride up very swiftly! So I tried the 8 and was perfect for the waist but my butt was flat then the floor haha. Damn dat ass. So a size 10 was the end of it and I'm planning on getting a slip skirt and being hopeful It won't move up so quickly!

Topping it all of is this Bank Fashion faux fur scarf. Love fur and fluffy things if you haven't noticed? haha
What amazed me about this scarf is that it has a slot where you can push the other side of the scarf through and pull until the scarf is securely snuggling your neck! such a fantastic and practical scarf! My plan was to loop it through as I usually would with a scarf but it would have been to short. So pleased as I also try and stay with my own practicality of clothes otherwise they just don't get used.

Ribbed in White

Ribbed bodycon dress - Missguided
Blazer - Newlook (old)
Fluffy bag - DEPOP Acc: Kyliejanee
Shoes - La Moda

Guess where I got this dress from.. DEPOP of course. I think I have an obsession. There isn't day where I'm not looking for bargain on there haha. This dress is still available on Missguided. I have been keeping my eye out for a sleeveless ribbed dress but I have only seen Topshop do a khaki one. So I settled for this, its only difference is it has sleeve of course, short sleeves. This dress is a size 12 so I would recommend going a size up as I am a size 10 and this is tight on me! I love anything ribbed at the moment, ribbed and turtle neck is huge craving!

I was going to team this dress up with a leather studded jacket for a outfit of the night kind of look but the images looked really poor in comparison to having this loose silk-like blazer which is more of a day time look.

And finally to set it all on fire this amazing fluffy bag which was only £10!!!! so crazy! I might have to buy all the colours hehe. You can request for a silver or gold chain and she makes black, blue, pink, lilac, white of course and I think there is more but I'm not sure. I am a little worried about the fastening as it is a magnetic clip and it kind of feels like, when you open it, that the fastens are being pulled off the bag. I am also worried that chain will snap off when I put things in, perhaps me just being paranoid, but my bags are usually heavy so... we'll see!
