What I Wore for my Graduation

Tuesday 27 January 2015

Dress - Asos
Blazer - Primark
Shoes - Newlook {w/ Topshop frilly socks for comfort}
Earrings - Topshop Freedom Advent Calendar

WOOOHOOOO I FINALLY GRADUATED GUYS! Well, I finished in June 2014 but The University of Derby don't have their graduation until January... Lord knows why! But it was nice to see everyone again :)

This, as you can tell by my title, is what I wore for my graduation :) The hat be the way is there to cover my roots (I didn't actually wear it) but it does mimic the graduation hat so, tada.. haha

I absolutely adore this gorgeous dress! its such a nice fit, really elegant and chic topped off with a beautiful dimante collar whilst almost comes up as a choker kind of collar with the hook and eye fastening. The dress was £45/40 and its definitely something I would wear again and again! Maybe a night out? future meals with the mr? etc.. The dress is really comfy too and its presented in layers, as in the top and bottom half are separate but they are actually joined together with some sheer material which you can slightly see in the middle of the dress.

This Primark blazer snapped up perfectly with the dress in regards to the collar line. I struggle with blazers because usually there is padding in the shoulder which makes me look rather broad and the collar line doesn't usually sit so nicely. To finalise the elegant/formal look I used some pearl earrings I got in my Topshop Freedom Advent Calendar, which I still need to do a review on actually, haha fingers crossed I get round to it so I can take all the jewellery out!
Honestly cannot wait for another occasion to wear this outfit! Its just so nice!!
