Unicorn Pastel Power

Thursday, 8 January 2015

Top - Primark
1st Skirt - SheInside
2nd Skirt - Missguided (old)

HELLO ALL!
I hope you had a fabulous xmas and new year!
I am back to blogging now, literally lost it out of my routine however so bare with me! I will be blogging every Tuesday and Thursday (roughly) and I honestly can't wait to get back into it.

Anywho, starting the blogging year with this post about the cutest, softest top I have ever laid eyes/hands on! I am a lover of the unicorns and pastels and when I saw this on Primarks instagram I had to have it! I thought at first it was a pj top buts its actually a womens top, a general everyday wear top... At first I wasn't going to wear it out, just let it be jammies however I saw a post by the lovely Amelia Breading (blog here) wearing the same skirt above (white) and it just inspired me to give it a whirl :) I quite like the top with the white skirt, however I LOVE IT in my pastel pink pleated skirt. I think its such a girly and childish outfit. We all have those days don't we? Where we don't want to dress up like adults and dress like a little unicorn lover kid. I am definitely one for the whole big kid story.

This super soft jumper was only £14 (I did get this before xmas so I don't know If its still there I'm afraid) and on the back in writing it states 'Lucky Star'. I did have an image but I think I accidentally deleted it, however you can see it and the outfit in full motion on my Youtube in my Primark Lookbook (video here)

Look forward to the new year of blogging and I am certainly taking Topshop's staff discount to my advantage!

Happy new year guys!

Top - Daisy Street
Skirt - SheInside
Shoes - Primark
Choker - Depop

I think I was inspired by Sammi from the 'Beauty Crush' for this look. I am not 100% sure but I remember saying to myself "Oh! I didn't even think of those two things going together." My first thought to team this up with a skirt would be a navy or black pleat (pleats are my fave :D ) but instead I found this look very enlightening so to speak! Certainly brings out the lines and some stronger sailer vibes. Makes my hair pop too :)

This skirt is a dupe of the American Apparel tennis skirt. Although, I think I mentioned in a previous posted, that it does actually have an American Apparel label.. so..... I don't know.

I would usually wear white frilly sock with the shoes and they would go very well with this outfit but both pairs were in the wash, all filthy, so.. just so you know.. haha

Pastel Pleats

Tuesday, 2 September 2014

Top -  Asylum Derby (I think its a Glamorous concession)
Skirt- SheInside // American Apparel
Shoes - My 1st Wish

Actually surprised how I put together this attire because I was in a rush for catching the bus to a shoot I had booked and usually the rush makes me pick out rubbish combinations but this one came out and I fell in love!!! Pleat and pastel blue are two of my favourite things! This shirt even has pleats at the back! Score Score!

This skirt is so beautiful however despite it being in a large from she inside its a very tight fit! The tag says its an american apparel skirt but I bought it from she in side for £12! Cant put my finger on wether it is genuine or not?

For me this is the perfect preppy look! and I hope i can inspire you guys to find something similar. I know i'll be loving preppy this A/W

Bralet and fishnet jumper - Missguided
Skirt - American Apparel

Well this skirt was certainly an investment! £120!! real leather. I had to do it though, simply because body-con like skirts just don't fit me and this felt and looked like perfection. I haven't even taken the tags off it yet, I just don't have the heart! Bit annoyed as its tearing at the back stitching around the zipper however I have sewing skills so I'm going to give that a whirl.

This jumper is one of my favourites! I love fishnet and mesh things! despite its many holes its actually quite warm! I saved this for summer only to realise its was born for A/W and its the perfect sports luxe minimal piece, win win i'd say, I love it so much!
