Androgynous in Monochrome, Inspired by Primark Party Wear

Tuesday, 15 December 2015

This look was, as you can see by the first image, inspired/style stolen from Primark's Party Wear Campaign. I could never pull of that look but she looks so fierce doesn't she?! So I took the look into my own wardrobe and twisted into a casual suit up. I already owned the Primark shirt shown in the image, its such a perfect staple piece for any season especially with a removable neck tie.

I then added my black, loose fitting, casual blazer I bought from New Look years ago, another wardrobe staple. My favourite black culottes from Dorothy Perkins last year added to the casual loose fitting vibes and smartened it up with my brogues from Topshop Sale (few months ago). I was going to add a black fedora for that little extra 'splash of cash' (fashion) but I looked like I was heading off to a funeral. That might not be the case for you, I just always seem to end up looking that way when I wear so much black, especially LBD *Le Cry*

This is the perfect stylish tomboy party wear if you ask me. Or you could wear some tight disco pants to keep the feminine vibes strong. I personally think if you wore faux leather trousers like the model above, you would be farrrr tooooo hotttt.

Thanks for Reading! :)

Monochrome Feathers

Thursday, 19 February 2015

Top - Topshop
Culottes - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Asos
Hat - Primark

Had my eye on this top before christmas and I was waiting for my christmas presents (money) so I can get my hands on it. After I received the item it was a bit of an umm and arrr situation because the fluff emphasised my hips which is the widest part of my body and kind of made it looked out of balance but I love the feathers! I did the boyfriend test, you know, I asked my boyfriend opinion. Well, he hated it, just because of the feather apparently not the shape.

So I went to return this and some burgundy culottes that I bought in the bigger size and my fellow Topshop colleges (is that how you spell it?) informed me that the top had gone into sale and is now £13. So I umm'd and arrr'd a bit more and gave in! after all thats not a lot for the love of the feathers and I am so happy with it. I absolutely love the outfit and the feather provide an individual twist, after all when do you see people wearing feathers?

To top the outfit off I wore these amazing shoes from Asos that everyoneeee wants their hands on! They were sold out when I went after them but was usual I did my trick by watching them everyday on my phone and they came back in my size so I snapped them up! They are so damn sexy and comfy at the same time! Perfection!

Forest Lace

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Top - Topshop Petite
Culottes - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Pink Soda - Bank Fashion
Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Hat - Primark

Today I have been shooting blog posts and doing videos from 9am-3pm non stop. My brain is fried haha, so lets see if I can write this baby up!

Really love this little lace number! It also comes in black so I bagged that too! I bought a size 6 in both because I really wanted the lace to high enough that is fairly into a crop top rather then a top so that the lace sits in a position that makes it a statement. I'm not usually the one for green, mint is probably as close as I would go, a pastel kind of mint of course! But I absolutely adored this forest green and lace combo.

OH yeah, so I don't have pink hair anymore :( Had to do my roots again so everything got washed out! and now my roots are bright orange, hahahaha, hence why I live in fedora's these days. I'm thinking of going lilac but as I haven't done it before and the pink won't completely wash out, I'm worried it will go tits up and hit London Fashion Weekend with horrid hair. But you only live once is what I try to go by as I am a safe player and its really frustrating at times!

Back to the outfit.. I was going to pair this top up with a cream pleated skirt, however the outfit created a strong summer vibe so I had to pass. I wanted to present something more tomboy(ish) and covering!

I got this cute little shoes for £10 in the Bank Fashion closing down sale, so sad! they were a good brand! I just think there is so much competition these days its hard for every retailer to fed the monies! They are really comfy and I cannot wait to wear them in the summer. I really love the strappy ankle and then a small gap with a big block of croc print, what I mean is usually strappy ankle shoes show off a lot of ones foot, which I hate, so this provides good coverage.

Lastly, the necklace. What a bargain! I bought 4 necklaces from Urban Outfitters for £15 when they were meant to cost me £40-50 all together, bargain!! Absolutely love crystals so it was a must have and I have more to come!

Burgundy Grunge

Tuesday, 20 January 2015

Bralet, Choker & Culottes - Topshop Sale
Shoes Kimono - Primark

This outfit is certainly showing off the grunge side of me. I don't know what I am if i'm honest with you, I dress however I feel like... I could be grungy, chavy, girly, a clean cut tom boy... whatever!

I am slowly growing my culottes collection, from cream to black and now burgundy :D this sweetheart I scored for £10! :O Couldn't believe it! the bralet was £12 and the choker was £8.50 (yet another to my collection). Yes this outfit is not for the current weather however, at Topman Derby their air-con has been broken for 7 months and wearing any form of knit wear is asking for a death wish!

I do feel rather nakey in this outfit because of the bralet being so skimpy but I know thats because my mind is in winter mode not summer, so it kind of feel unacceptable to wear such a thing but I am convincing myself the kimono goes it some justice!
This cute kimono is from Primark, I think for £9. I wasn't going to get it for the fact that its winter! What are you doing Primark? But I knew when summer came around I would be gutted for not buying it, so I was sold! I will probably bring some cream into this outfit when summer hits, most likely replacing the bralet and shoes and who knows maybe my hat collection will grow then too :D
