Forest Lace

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Top - Topshop Petite
Culottes - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Pink Soda - Bank Fashion
Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Hat - Primark

Today I have been shooting blog posts and doing videos from 9am-3pm non stop. My brain is fried haha, so lets see if I can write this baby up!

Really love this little lace number! It also comes in black so I bagged that too! I bought a size 6 in both because I really wanted the lace to high enough that is fairly into a crop top rather then a top so that the lace sits in a position that makes it a statement. I'm not usually the one for green, mint is probably as close as I would go, a pastel kind of mint of course! But I absolutely adored this forest green and lace combo.

OH yeah, so I don't have pink hair anymore :( Had to do my roots again so everything got washed out! and now my roots are bright orange, hahahaha, hence why I live in fedora's these days. I'm thinking of going lilac but as I haven't done it before and the pink won't completely wash out, I'm worried it will go tits up and hit London Fashion Weekend with horrid hair. But you only live once is what I try to go by as I am a safe player and its really frustrating at times!

Back to the outfit.. I was going to pair this top up with a cream pleated skirt, however the outfit created a strong summer vibe so I had to pass. I wanted to present something more tomboy(ish) and covering!

I got this cute little shoes for £10 in the Bank Fashion closing down sale, so sad! they were a good brand! I just think there is so much competition these days its hard for every retailer to fed the monies! They are really comfy and I cannot wait to wear them in the summer. I really love the strappy ankle and then a small gap with a big block of croc print, what I mean is usually strappy ankle shoes show off a lot of ones foot, which I hate, so this provides good coverage.

Lastly, the necklace. What a bargain! I bought 4 necklaces from Urban Outfitters for £15 when they were meant to cost me £40-50 all together, bargain!! Absolutely love crystals so it was a must have and I have more to come!

Casual Lace

Shirt - Love Clothing
Ripped Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Converse

Isn't this shirt just the absolute bomb!? Its so beautiful made and cut! This shirt provides the perfect simplicity with the splash of statement (over the rest of the outfit) detail. Really love the finely cut, medium sized collar too adding to the simplicity of it all in a different way, in comparison to any old white shirt. I bought this beauty for (I think) £22! temporarily reduced from £26 :) AND NOW ITS ONLY £13!!! fabulous price! The material feels really nice too, it feel like a thick cotton in comparison to the kind of linen/cotton feel of other shirts, does that make sense?

Keeping within the casual simplicity I paired the shirt with some ripped black joni jeans but personally I think I would prefer non ripped jeans, just so that the focus on statement detail is entirely on the lace of the shirt. Keeping the footwear casual with some Converse too which bounce the white around too :)

Khaki and Lace

Bralet - Topshop
Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - Primark

I have been eyeing up khaki trousers for quite a few months now and just never really bit the bullet so to speak. If you remember in my previous blogs I had some Missguided Khaki trousers but I took them back because they were too tight on me. Working at Topman has its advantages of course and I got these on uniform, originally £40. The fit is a little odd in regards to sizing as the size 8 was so tight it was uncomfortable to breathe but the 10 was fairly loose sitting. The fellow Topshop girls recommended I get the 8 but I just was not comfortable at all so I got the 10. A week later my team leader had the trousers on and I asked her about the fit. she replied "I would usually buy a 12 but I bought a 10 in these and they have stretched out to be a comfy fit." Oh crap I thought as I had forgotten that Topshop trousers stretch! I hoped I could exchange them but whats done is done if you buy uniform. I'm honestly praying they don't stretch and if they do its off to the tumble dryer!

This lace bralet is amazing in its detail! And really modest too as unlike most bralet that show off your breasts, this one covers it up gracefully. I think this was between £28-32 and well worth it. I would usually buy an 8 to support my bust however the zip kept running down its self so I opted for the 10, again a little tight but the 12 just overlapped its lace for being so big on me.

Pieced together creates a fabulous modest, gorgeously detailed autumnal coloured outfit!
