The Waist Accessory

Tuesday, 18 November 2014

Top - Miss Selfridge
Jeans - Topshop (washed out to navy)
Shirt - Topshop
Shoes - Tosphop
Choker - Topshop Sale
Necklace - Depop - BeckyWecky22

Well, I did say my 'ways to wear video' was going to be up YESTERDAY but my god there is so much editing and pieces to put together! Around 8-10 looks in all :O I certainly won't be posting 8-10 looks on this blog however, as, well, I am sure you will all be sick of seeing check haha.

Todays look is all about using your shirt as a waist accessory. You could even wear it as a skirt but I completely forgot about that kind of styling for a shirt. I really love how the shirt has spiced my black and navy outfit up and the necklaces reflect from the white on the shirt, slightly balancing the black and white, so that the black isn't so heavy. Topping the outfit off with some monochrome croc slip ons for the complete causal vibes. I am really digging this simplistic look and I'm sure as I know try and grow my shirts collection (currently at 1 haha) I will have loads more fun with them.

P.s. ALWAYS BUY SHIRT IN TALL. Covers your bum :) hehe

Cutesy Checks

Thursday, 13 November 2014

Shirt - Topshop
Pinafore - Primark (old)
Shoes - Primark
Frilly Socks - Topshop
Hat - Primark (new)

Here is one of the many ways to wear this check shirt. I have made a video which should be up on my channel : www.youtube.com/cravingclothes latest of monday (hopefully). I will also be doing some written blog, only a few in comparison to the many looks on the video. The shirt is just so perfect for my wardrobe as I think I said when I first posted about this shirt.

Here is how I would wear the shirt with a black pinafore and such a cutesy frilly socks and brogues. I think it all adds up to such a cute outfit. What do you think?
I would recommend getting a black pinafore, I think its such a staple piece for any wardrobe. Or for the current season maybe try a jumpsuit? that would look just as fabulous, maybe not as cute though!

Grid layers

Tuesday, 4 November 2014

Grid top - Topshop
Fluffy Crop Knit - Topshop (last year)
Wet Look Leggings - Topshop
Hat - Topshop (summer)
Shoes - La Moda

This is the best top ever! haha. I never do well when it comes to square prints in contrast to my face, no idea why. This print is slightly faded, its not as strong in its black as it could be and plus in the edges of each square there is a faded edge that blends into the next, overall making a fairly subtle square pattern.

This piece I find is very versatile. At least for my wardrobe, I don't know about yours. I recommend ALWAYS getting a shirt from Topshop's tall section, or any tall section really, because, although this top already has a dip hem, having it in tall means the hem definitely cover my bum and a bit more of my front in comparison to the regular size. Thanks to this I can have it covering my bum for leggings such as these wet look ones which I bought a year ago but I hear you can get some from Topshop now and also from Primark! I am going to be posting this shirt again with various others ways you can style it! And I will also have a video on it next week :)

I can't decided between having the fluffy crop knit on or off, so I provided both for you guys. I think I prefer it on just because its a lovely layering outfit. Also, I folded the sleeve up over the fluffy knit to show it off more.

Double Tartan

Tuesday, 7 October 2014

Top - Ark Clothings
Skirt - Asos
Shoes - Primark

I have to say now that all of these items are old but they sure put together an awesome double tartan. Move over double denim! A/W is here and tartan is for the win! How about triple tartan? could you imagine! Just need tartan shoes haha. New A/W trend in the mitts?

The skirt has to be my favourite piece of this outfit, well in competition with the boots. I just love the tartan colours on it as they are quite subtle and will work with a few things where as bright red (above skirt) doesn't go with lots of things! Such as pink trousers, but the asos skirt will work with a pink fluffy knit! I am really gutted thought as since loosing weight this is mahooosive on me! Definitely can't let it go though! Tartan and pleats, I mean thats it just everything in my world haha. A tailor is in order!

Love these shoes too! & at £18 with a fur top makes Tilly very happy! I am indeed a lover of boots especially in this british weather! rain rain go away come back another day!

Pink Checks

Friday, 3 October 2014

Top  - Missguided
Skirt - Missguided
Choker - Asos

J'Adore this outfit!!! As soon as I saw Missguided A/W collection I fell in love with this skirt! I just think its going to work so well with my already existing A/W wardrobe, especially those fluffy topshop crops I think I mention a lot haha. The skirt goes really nicely with this pink ribbed crop too. A little Clueless vibe as they say.

I am a little confused with the skirt, either it grew in my wardrobe or I lost even more weight... I always buy two sizes when it comes to bottoms. I got a 10 and a 12 and the 10 was a perfect fit but when I put it back on for this blog it looked twice the size! Like I had gone down to a 6! Very confused there! I'm going to blame it logically on my diet (not the skirt) and try to make sure I don't loose anymore weight! I am already a thin lass and I like being a 10-12.

This is definitely going to be a cosy outfit for when the weather actually decides to cool down. I am ready for the cold already!! No more heat, I want my fluffy knits! How about you guys?

You can also find this skirt at Misspap who also have the matching blazer! So cool!
